Our Method
Microwave-based methane pyrolysis
Our patented method of methane pyrolysis uses highly efficient microwave energy to split natural gas into hydrogen and solid carbon while avoiding CO₂ emissions. Because microwaves provide such efficient and targeted heating in our process, our technology requires less electricity, significantly reducing operating expenses.
Carbon Solution Image
Our Solid Carbon
Elementally pure, sand-sized carbon offtake
Aurora’s technology produces a unique and versatile solid carbon particle that is 100-1,000 times larger than carbon black and can be handled and transported just like sand. Our method doesn’t use a catalyst, resulting in elementally pure carbon particles with a graphitized structure.
